Motorsports Venues - Segway Tours Now Offered At Dover International Speedway
DOVER, July 1, 2011: For over two years now, Dover International Speedway has offered fans a unique opportunity to see up close and personal with the Monster Mile through its "Explore the Monster" tour of the facilities. Well, this intimate experience is about to be improved by the addition of a Segway to create the "Monster Mile SegZone Experience."
Tours SegZone, a Delaware corporation, will begin operating visits Dover International Speedway on their ecological, battery operated, totally wireless and two-wheeled personal transporter, known as a Segway.
The tour includes stops at the Monster Monument at Victory Plaza, presented by AAA, Victory Lane, where fans can get pictures on the same stage that the drivers like Jimmie Johnson and Matt Kenseth recently accepted their trophy monster, 'frontstrech track stands as well as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series garage Monster deck overlooking Turn 3 of the runway, the Infield Media Center, and more.
All tours will be led by a guide Dover International Speedway, and each participant will receive a listener to hear the guide while traveling on the Segway.Tours last about two hours and 15 minutes, which includes a familiarization period for participants to become familiar with the feel and operation of their Segways.

Tours are conducted most Wednesdays and some Saturdays and Sundays, weather permitting. Currently available tour dates include: July 6, 13, 16, 17, 27, 30 and 31, and August 3, 6, 7, 10, 17, 20, 24, 27, 28 and 31. Most visits will begin at 10 am and 14 hours
